, the legendary Polish instant messaging platform, by the Polish company England.pl. The dLK Legal team was responsible for the company’s due diligence and that of its assets, the preparation of the transaction structure, as well as the drafting and support in the investment agreement.

, a fast-growing FinTech, which is the fourth entity in Poland to get a KNF license as a Payment Institution. The company has offices in Poland and the UK and provides services to over 50,000 registered clients and transfers 400 million PLN a year.
“So far, our services have been focused on clients in Poland and the UK, but in the last year, when met with interest and inquiries of our clients, we passported our services through the KNF to all the EU Member States. The acquisition of Gadu-Gadu is a step in their best interest, but also part of our long-term business strategy, in which we have several innovative ideas for the messenger, including the introduction of innovative FinTech services through it”, Romuald Remus, the CEO of England.pl said.
GG is Poland’s most popular online messenger. Its first version was published in 2000. The investment agreement, signed in March 2018, includes the acquisition of selected assets by England.pl, which enable providing services to the users of the messenger. The subjects of the transaction include the GG messenger, internet domains, server equipment and trademarks and logos, including the famous sun icon.
